No matter what, we want results. It’s that simple!
We have been conditioned to expect results – immediately!
We are living in a fast paced, get it done now, world. It is what it is!
If we start a new exercise routine, we expect to lose 20 pounds in TWO WEEKS!
If we start learning a new language, we expect results within a month, right?!
If we start a running routine, we want to run a 10K race, safely, now. Forget the fact that you haven’t run in years.
If we start a martial art- yup.. we want to be a black belt in a year!
If we start getting adjusted… we want the pain or problem gone instantly. Even though the problem may have been there for years.
I am not picking on anyone. Many of us have been raised to this way of thinking, me too – by the school system, TV commercials, friends, family, etc… we want it – now.
Results only come from – consistency! Repetition and time, do it, repeat, do it, repeat.etc. Most results, in the beginning, are imperceptible (not even visible). At first, with many endeavors and activities, results may not be visible for weeks, months or a year.
SO, DO IT ANYWAY… JUST BECAUSE YOU DON’T SEE IMMEDIATE RESULTS FROM YOUR CURRENT ACTIONS, DOESN’T MEAN YOU’RE NOT MAKING PROGRESS!
*Start that new walking program – no matter the results.
*start eating better – no matter the results
*Begin that yoga class – no matter the results
*start that 800 page novel – no matter how soon you finish it
