About Chiropractic

A philosophy, science, and art!  Chiropractic deals with the relationship between the bones of the vertebral column and the nerve system.  It is based upon the premise that the body is a self-healing, self-regulating organism.  The objective is the detection and correction(reduction) of vertebral subluxation to allow the Innate Intelligence of the body to express itself more fully. . . or simply,   to enable your body to work at its highest potential!

D.D Palmer, Founder of Chiropractic – 1895:    “Chiropractic is a philosophy, science and art of things natural: a system of adjusting the segments of the   spinal column by hand only, for the   correction of the cause of dis-ease.”

Dorland’s dictionary –  1927  “A system of adjustment consisting of palpation of the spinal column to ascertain vertebral subluxations followed  by the  adjustment of them by hand, in order to relieve pressure upon nerves at the intervertebral foramina, so that the nerve force may flow freely from the brain to the rest of the body.”

The Chiropractic Trust: 2012 – Straight Chiropractic is defined as: The location, analysis and facilitation of correction of Vertebral Subluxation solely because they, in and of themselves, interfere with the proper expression of the innate intelligence of the body and are a detriment to life.  Additionally, Straight Chiropractic shall include the need for education of humanity as to the seriousness and importance of Vertebral Subluxation and having said correction.  Nothing more, nothing less and nothing else.

Our objective – the correction of vertebral subluxations – is what we do.   Our philosophy explains why we do what we do.  The science is the accumulated facts supporting what we do.  The art is how we do it.   Each of these aspects of chiropractic is important.

Chiropractic is about life,  its about being a better expression of life.   Our lives and bodies work and function better on all levels without vertebral subluxations!

We look forward to hearing from you
